Spring is here and Paisley is having an absolute blast.
Right now we're at Gossip enjoying some down time.
Miss P is frolicking around the island with her best friend Maxwell.
I've never met two dogs that get along so well!
They stick together and explore the island, while checking in at the house every once in a while.
Two peas in a pod those two!

I have photos from last weekend - Paisley, Shaun and I went to Triangle Beach for a little bonfire/dinner on the beach. It was perfect!!

I still can't believe how much of a success our little fundraiser was! Something that started as an idea after seeing poor Trooper turned into a reality in just 14 days.

On Sunday, March 28th we set up shop at Jerry Sulina Park in Maple Ridge to do pet portraits - in exchange for donations for Trooper and the Maple Ridge SPCA. Everyone.. Everyone and their dog came out to the fundraiser! ;)
In the end, $2,000 was raised - unbelievable!

Shaun and I headed to Vegas for a few days to catch the Garth Brooks show.
Paisley was VERY excited to spend some time with Grandpa George.

October Recap

I can't believe October is nearly over already... this year has gone by way too fast!!!
We've had a great October - lots of time to relax with Mommy and Daddy until mid-month, then a lovely trip to Loon Lake for Thanksgiving. Paisley even got to experience the Hells Gate Air Tram! The weather has turned and when it's sunny it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Paisley loves to chase the leaves around when the wind catches them - it's absolutely priceless!!!!

The fog on the lake every morning - DAMN it was cold.. went down to -15 degrees!

Our little girl is at it again! we found out last week that Paisley's photo is going to be in the Bosley's 2010 Calendar!
Apparently she's a Febraury girl (WOOHOO the month of the Olympics!)

Paisley has a big week ahead.
She gets to go on a mini-vacation.
In order to get her all prepared for our 3 week trip to Australia, She's going to be spending more time with her Grandma and grandpa without Mommy & Daddy. She gets to go on an adventure to the island this weekend while we're swamped with weddings & the AC/DC concert :p
I'll report back with how it goes!! :)

Summer and the great weather have officially arrived early in the Vancouver area - woohoo! Paisley is LOVING the sun - although being a black lab she gets pretty darn hot!!! She's smart though - if we are at the island she just hops down and wades through the water to get cool again. Here are some random pics from the last few weeks:

So... wedding season is upon us.... and Poor Paisley's blog is getting neglected :(
we've done so much lately - spent a TON of time at the Cabin. She's got her very first audition for a photoshoot, and her very first boyfriend Maxwell! It's been a great month for Miss P! :)

Busy Bees

it's been a busy week for Paisley - she's had her 'cousin' Tia over for a few sleepovers. My mom and dad headed to Vegas for a few days so we've been puppy sitting.

At first the girls were all crazy - wrestling in the living room, and being little terrors....
Eventually they mellowed out and even had a little cuddle together.

Every day I've taken the girls out to Mcdonald beach. Today I was getting ready to go, got the leashes, and called the dogs. Paisley was all excited to go - Tia looked at me like "you have GOT to be kidding - i'm not going ANYWHERE!!" She sauntered back to her crate and lied down.....

Which worked out well - because i ended up being able to take Paisley out, and try out my new lens....

Lots of Paisley Dog shots, and some spring time flower/weed shoots too :P

Very First Camping Trip!

Paisley had one heck of a weekend!
We ventured out with the camper for our very first camping trip of the season.
it's safe to say that Paisley is an AWESOME outdoors dog!
She stuck close to us, played with all of the other dogs and was a little angel (of course)
her feet were a little tender from running on the rocky beach all weekend - but she survived.
I think she slept the whole day after we got home!!!
I can't wait until our next camping trip in May!

A Family Affair...

It's been a busy last 10 days or so!!!

Paisley's galavanted at McDonald Beach with Pepper.... and a great play with Tia out there as well.
But the most fun she had was meeting up with her very own brother CHARLIE!

We spend a beautiful but crisp Sunday morning out with Charlie and his momma Leanne at a dog park in Burnaby. It's like the two knew who each other was right off the bat. They had the same playing styles, same wrestling moves and everything! I can't wait to get them both together with their other brother Cole in the next little while.

Other than that Miss P had to go in to get fixed yesterday. It was a sad sad day :( No Paisley puppies....
The poor girl cried quite a bit when we brought her home - it made me feel like the worst doggie-momma EVER.

Even though it wasn't even above zero today, she still had a blast hangin' out on the beach with Pepper!

We went and picked up little Paisley only weeks ago, but I can't imagine our lives with out her now. She is the PERFECT little dog. I can't get over it. I thought dogs were supposed to misbehave! Paisley is mellow, but alert. SOOO aware of everything that's going on, but doesn't get all "crazy". I was totally prepared for a Marley. The world's WORST dog. [ok, ok... Paisley did pull a Marley moment at the beach the other day... Drinking Fraser River Water = getting the runs..... and when you get the runs while you're STANDING in the fraser river... welll... you can paint that picture yourself]

It's really funny because Paisley wasn't too into the photo taking aspect of this walk.
She usually is pretty good with sitting there and posing for the camera... this trip - not so much :)

We've had quite the great stretch of sunshine here in Vancouver.... but it looks like it's about to end :(
I guess that means it's back to the dog park in rain boots!!!!

She had already spent a few hours over at "Doggy Daycare" ie. the In-Law's house with Pepper while I was off doing a photoshoot. She was pretty darn tired at this point! :)

It's a lazy Friday afternoon, and i think it's about time we go have a cuddle. She's already flaked out on my bed!!

Valentine's Getaway

Paisley was a super lucky dog this weekend. She got to come with us to a liiiiitle tiny island that Shaun's parents have a house on. Talk about a lucky dog. It was the very first time she was a foot passenger on the BC Ferries, and she did GREAT! Everyone stopped to pet her and tell us how cute she is :) We also met a little black lab pup named Dakota - who was only a few weeks younger than Paisley! They had a little mini-play on the car deck, then it was time to go.

After a short boat ride (in the dark - eek!) we arrived on the island. Paisley and Pepper had a great play that night, but the most fun was yet to come. Saturday morning came and the island had more guests. Maxwell, the 8 month old yellow lab from next door came to play - WOOHOO! It was PARTY TIME!!! The three dogs played ALLLLLLLLLL day. (ok, Pepper mostly watched and kept them in line)

Miss Paisley has had a great week.
We've headed out to the dog park nearly every day, walked around the auto mall trying to find the Pooch-Wagon suitable for our little princess, and has captured the hearts of all of the neighbour kids who come and beg to take her for a walk.

Today we headed out with the inlaws and their dog for a nice Sunday walk at McDonald Beach. I think every dog in Richmond was there, but they had a blast. Paisley is soooooooo sociable with other dogs [read between the lines: she doesn't listen around other dogs] haha

A New Favourite - McDonald Beach!

For as long as I have known Pepper, she has gone to a beautiful off leash area in Richmond, called McDonald Beach. Paisley has been lucky enough to go there to meet other dogs, and play with Pepper. She's pretty darn good off leash with Pepper, but as soon as another dog comes by there's a flick of the switch and she goes all crazy :) I guess you can't expect much out of a puppy less than 4 months old!

Angel to Devil in a matter of seconds...

Miss Paisley sure has become a PUPPY these last few days.
Shaun had her out at the doggie park and was ready to LEAVE her there by the end of it.
So far she's eaten my hair straighter, and some sandals.
There are currently 2 big holes in the backyard.
I'm sure this is just the tip of the "bad dog" iceberg!!!

The last week has been a busy one for Paisley.
She had her last set of shots and was finally allowed to hang out with other dogs.
She's met King, Whiskey, Jackson (and of course Tiara, and Pepper!)
She's gone to the doggie park for the very first time and was amazing. (although i think it was because Pepper came and Paisley stuck REAL close to Pepper the whole time!)

I'll stop blabbing, and start posting photos :)

After her first walk of the morning Paisley was lucky enough to go out to near the airport to meet up with Shaun during his lunch hour. it was her first real play off leash (in a soccer field that was completely enclosed so she couldn't escape! haha) Cheating, I know, but we didn't know how she'd do off leash!

She was an ANGEL! I thought she'd go crazy, but she was already pretty tired, so she had a good play and stuck close to us most of the time ;)

I brought her the little yellow ball to play with, but she ended up finding a broken tennis ball and wouldn't put the damn thing down. It's like a kid who would rather play with the BOX their Christmas present came in!

Paisley's First Big Adventure

For the last few days of December Paisley, Shaun and I headed over to Gossip Island. It was Paisley's first (of MANY) trips over to the beautiful Gulf Islands. She was quite the trooper on the ferry over, and the little boat across the channel. Here are a few photos from her very first trip.

First time in the boat and it was like she had done it 100 times before. (and her ears did the flying in the wind thing like Pepper's do!)

New Dog on the Block

As the days have gone by, we've begun to learn more and more about our little Paisley dog. We brought her home a week ago tonight, I can't believe it!
I'd say she's adjusted well.
She's got Shaun wrapped around her little paw :P and I guess me too :)

She LOVES shoes. Not to chew on them but to use them as pillows!

Snowboots, running shoes, slippers - you name it. If she an snuggle up with it, she's there! :)

She rules the roost over at her Grandma's house with her good buddy Tia (the 4 year old yellow lab). All she needs to do is give a little nip, and Tia's running around her in circles ready to play. They had a MARATHON play the other day... so much excitement that Paisley didn't even want her dinner - she just wanted to SLEEP!

She's a HAM when it comes to the camera too...
Which is GREAT for me! :)

More to come in a few days - paisley is making her VERY FIRST trip over to the family cabin on the Island! I picked up a puppy PFD for her today, I hope to get some cute pics of our little rescue dog this weekend! :)

We woke up on the morning of the 23rd of December not knowing that by 11pm that night we'd own a beautiful little puppy. Paisley is PERFECT! Well mannered, calm, and LOVES to cuddle!!! She was the perfect Christmas present for our little family.
